This morning my 8 year old called me into her room

at 5:57am, she was watching some cartoons on Disney channel and I was trying to finish up my article. She called from the other room, “Mom! Mom! You have to see this!”
This moment.
I wanted to finish my train of thought
This moment.
I wanted to finish my article.
I realized my article, will be right where I left it and this moment of excitement for my daughter … this moment of her excitement may not be there in a few more seconds…
I got up, ran into the room… and we danced to Phineas and Ferbs Izzies got the frizzies.
We tried to mimic the moves of the cartoon character. Her 8… me 48… We laughed.
My article is still on another moment of hold as I write this post.
Each moment is a choice.
